Boot scootin’ Santa jumps the gun

Although it was probably cold enough to snow, Christmas came early again this year when the Harden Linedancers held their Annual Christmas in July celebrations on Tuesday, July 8.

Around 190 people, including residents from the Harden and Galong Nursing homes, nestled into the warm surroundings of the Bowling Club. The proceedings kicked-off with a wonderful performance by Julie and Peter O’Connor and Stewart Bruce.

The linedancing ladies then kicked their heels up before they did the hot shoe shuffle and congo-lined the lunches out to everyone. The lunch was followed by some fair dinkum Christmas pudding and custard. After desert another tasty treat was served up in the form of Bede Morrissey who was accompanied by regular performers Les Graham and Greg Heycox.

Bede took everyone for a stroll down memory lane with some beautiful Irish ballads. Mr and Mrs Claus then came out to perform with the linedancers. The jolly couple then handed out gifts for everyone.

The members of the Harden Linedancers would like to thank Rhonda and the Staff at the Bowling Club and everyone who helped out and came along this year for helping to make the event another very special and memorable occasion.
